Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer with our industry-leading client in Towson.

Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities of the Java Developer:

  • Design, development, document, implement, maintain, and enhance Java web applications
  • Enhance applications to ensure compliance with CMS tool and architecture guidelines
  • Architect, design, code, and implement simple and clean designs
  • Coordinate and lead the development of large projects

Requirements of the Java Developer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or, equivalent training and experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with object oriented software development, web and J2EE application development, and SQL 
  • At least 4 years of experience with IBM WebSphere middleware and messaging technologies
  • Ability to translate Java object design and patterns into efficient code
  • Strong database knowledge
  • Experience with DB2 or Oracle preferred
