We're looking for a Network Engineer with considerable Cisco experience who also has an interest in cyber security. With your networking know-how, you'll join a team in delivering vital solutions for a major federal organization, developing your skills with network and system security along the way.

Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

You will join our team dedicated to systems engineering and security. With your solid understanding of network engineering, you'll be responsible for the installation, deployment, and maintenance of network equipment. You will also be responsible for assessing and improving both network and system security, developing solutions for complex problems.

As an integral part of the organization, you will build on your existing knowledge to develop expertise in cyber security and network security. Testing for network vulnerabilities, reporting on your findings, and developing solutions to mitigate those issues will be an important part of your work.

Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with network engineering (especially Cisco routers and switches)
  • 1+ year of experience working directly with enterprise firewalls
  • Active Security+, Network+, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP or related certification is required
  • Strong interest in network security and cyber security
  • Highly adaptable mindset; must be willing to learn new skills
  • Must be eligible for Public Trust (Current Public Trust strongly preferred)
  • Local candidates strongly preferred
Salary: $85,000 to $95,000
