Are you a highly skilled Mainframe Programmer with excellent Cobol and DB2 experience? If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in Owings Mills!

Responsibilities of the Mainframe Programmer:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business strategies
  • Gather requirements and translate for programmers and developers
  • Develop cost-benefit and ROI analysis to inform system implementation decisions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems and identify and act on opportunities for improvement
  • Liaise between IT and business teams to provide technical solutions to end user problems

Requirements of the Mainframe Programmer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience required
  • Excellent knowledge of Cobol, DB2, and Omnipay
  • Basic programming language knowledge
  • Excellent ability to select best methods for solutions
  • Strong project management skills to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research to develop innovative solutions
