Our industry-leading client is seeking a Mainframe Programmer with excellent COBOL and DB2 skills and experience to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Mainframe Programmer:

  • Maintain, analyze, and modify programming systems for a large-scale mainframe system
  • Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan
  • Lead the technical design, development, integration, and maintenance of highly complex business applications
  • Develop solutions to highly complex business and technical problems
  • Coach technical staff on software development best practices and tools

Requirements of the Mainframe Programmer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 8 years of experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 on an IBM mainframe platform
  • Strong transmission and Endevor experience
  • Extensive experience in the software development life cycle
