Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network +/ A+ Instructor with our industry-leading client in Detroit.

Responsibilities of the Network +/ A+ Instructor:

  • Preform training, instruction, administration, and monitoring of students as well as managing student behavior and other program policies
  • Collaborate with Senior Director to continually improve and evolve the curriculum, identify student needs and provide support
  • Help provide insight to students on potential career tracks and give advise on potential career paths, and collaborate with Employer Relationships team to lead students to particular employment opportunities
  • Order books, materials, vouchers for exams in advance of training
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, employer visits, and professional events as directed
  • Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program
  • Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology

Requirements of the Network +/ A+ Instructor:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) plus a minimum of 5 years' IT work experience.
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred
  • Current A+ certification (901-902 Series)
  • Network+ Certification (N10-006 or N10-007) or be willing to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Experience implementing network technologies in business environments with focus on deployment of TCP/IP suite protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Apple, and Linux Operating Systems; this includes both end user and server versions.
  • Thorough understanding of security concepts, models, and standards; experience with implementation in business environments.
