Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer:
  • Troubleshoot network and cyber security incidents
  • Work effectively and professionally with customers
  • Support client network and security systems implementation
  • Escalate complex network and security incidents as required
Requirements of the Network Security Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of routing and switching best practices and protocols
  • Understanding of next generation firewalls, including Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto
  • Ability to resolve incidents independently 
  • Ability to monitor, tune, and troubleshoot systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • CCNA or Security+ certification is ideal
