Eliassen Group is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator in Washington, DC to support a leading and highly-innovative national nonprofit. This is an excellent opportunity for those who have a passion for business communications and the desire to make an impact through effective coordination and project management skills. As a Project Coordinator, you'll be responsible for directly supporting the project manager and other project resources during the course of the project life cycle. You'll be a part of a team that is focused on innovation, outcome-based solutions, market orientation and systems change.

Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator:
  • Oversees the abstract collection and management for national and regional meetings and specialty conferences
  • Create and lead training for volunteer meeting planners
  • Serve as a Program Administrator for volunteer meeting program planners by assisting them with organizing and managing their programs
  • Ensure participants meet production deadlines and assist with finalizing their programs
  • Ensure quality of published material utilizing program integrity checks
  • Maintain oversight of professional services vendors and contractors
  • Assist with the development and testing of member-facing applications that support membership activities 
  • Serve as a member of the Business Systems Administration team and assists with other society-wide projects as needed
Requirements of the Project Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience providing customer-facing support and account management
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects for multiple stakeholders
  • Skilled at managing client accounts
  • Adept at customer service
  • Ability to learn quickly and excel with multiple systems and platforms
