Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager/Assistant Director of Utility Technology to join our industry-leading client in Reading.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager/Assistant Director of Utility Technology:

  • Plan and manage operational technology
  • Manage and direct staff to implement and operate the Utility Technology environment
  • Provide long term technology planning and establish a roadmap
  • Update and maintain roadmap, scheduling, and resources for UT
  • Establish and facilitate executive technology steering committees
  • Establish technology PM standards and practices
  • Draft and review contract related to hardware, software, and technology services
  • Manage and lead the development and implementation of goals and priorities 

Requirements of the Project Manager/Assistant Director of Utility Technology:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred
  • PMI certification desired
  • At least 7 years of experience in information technology and operational technology planning/management in the utility industry
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience at a technical management level
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, accounting, budget preparation, and cost control
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, and externally
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex technology management and service contracts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Valid Massachusetts Class D Driver's license or equivalent
