The QA Automation Engineer will support our client’s commerce platform migration to Shopify. The role will focus on building and maintaining automated tests with Playwright and executing cross-browser validation with BrowserStack. The engineer will collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to accelerate feedback loops, improve release quality, and integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and BrowserStack.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Implement test strategies aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, BrowserStack, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience developing automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright, building automation test suites, and writing test code.
- Ability to make framework enhancements.
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Familiarity with e-commerce workflows and payment systems.
- Agile testing practices (preferred).
- Shopify platform testing experience (preferred).
