Are you an experienced QA automation engineer? One of our clients is looking for someone to work on a development team creating trade compliance applications for a large investment company.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to use your skills testing web applications and designing and building an effective test strategy and test cases.

Responsibilities of the QA Automation Engineer:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test code, test environment and infrastructure issues, as well as working with test case management, source control, database, requirements management, reporting, and other tools
  • iCEDQ DataOps Automation Platform to automate ETL testing, data migration testing, BI report testing, Big Data testing & data monitoring
  • Integrating tests with CI/CD pipeline and technologies (Jenkins, Pivotal Concourse,etc.)
  • Leading code projects with Git, GitHub, and Jira, as part of our SDLC
  • Micro services pattern & SOA methodology
  • Perform extensive system integration, end to end testing, along with performance testing
  • Integrate, support, use and maintain issue tracking systems such as JIRA, Rally, qTest
  • Perform both "black box” and "white box” testing of Client's internal and customer-facing applications by analyzing applications and requirements and designing and executing test cases
  • Drive improvements to our current test automation framework and paradigm
  • Work with QA team members, software developers and system and database administrators to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments. This may include trouble-shooting database issues using SQL queries, reviewing web server and application server logs, etc
Requirements of the QA Automation Engineer:
  • At least 8 years experience testing modern SPA web applications and web services
  • Accomplished QA engineer (with Scrum Master experience)
  • Proven hands-on experience developing automation test cases using Cucumber, UFT or other Selenium-based automation tools to build functional tests for web applications into cloud environments, such as AWS, using Docker FitNesse or Postman to build functional tests automation for web service/REST based API’s
  • Experience within a fast paced Agile software development environment with CI/CD tools, and understand how to deliver using an Acceptance Test-Driven development (ATDD) approach
  • Experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems
  • Deep knowledge of J2EE application and REST based Services, experience in integrating with backend RDMS (Oracle) and NoSQL (Dynamo DB) databases
  • Experience in all aspects of Architecture Design and cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data)
  • Knowledge of legacy monolithic architecture and how to convert to a micro service based architecture
  • Strong problem-solving ability, able to intuitively anticipate problems; look beyond immediate issues; and take initiative to improve both our testing environment
  • Believe in agile software development, metrics, short feedback loops, well-designed application, early test development, automation wherever possible, and be open to adoption of the latest tools and techniques for solving the complex problems
  • Validated experience delivering full-stack, cloud-based applications using node and JavaScript frameworks to migrate large applications to the cloud in the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments
