Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Release Train Engineer with our industry-leading client in Hartford.

Responsibilities of the Release Train Engineer:

  • Consistently deliver software in large environments by resolving and escalating impediments and ensuring value
  • Serve as a link between all scrum teams by facilitating communication and allowing for the flow of information across the ART, using tools such as Program and Solution Kanbans and other information radiators. New hire will also facilitate frequent synchronization meetings
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings 
  • Identify bottlenecks and encourage collaboration to ensure solutions, driving continuous improvement
  • Responsible for backlog management as well as RALLY data integrity for accurate reporting. This includes the collection of metrics
  • Coordinate major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers, as well as transparency to stakeholders

Requirements of the Release Train Engineer:

  • 3 years' experience as RTE, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Project/Program Manager 
  • Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software 
  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or other scaling model is preferred
