Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Resident Engineer with our industry-leading client in Mount Laurel.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Applicant must be able to work in a 24x7 environment, including shift work and on-call duty on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities of the Resident Engineer:

  • Provide on-site and telephone technical support on enterprise products
  • Analyze issues and provide network solution recommendations to customers and internal resources
  • Evaluate product performance and operability to contribute to the design of new or modified products
  • Create, review, validate, and publish customer-facing documents
  • Some travel may be required

Requirements of the Resident Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably in telecommunications
  • Architecture experience on Ciena 6500 and OTN
  • Excellent understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and switching/transport technologies
  • Experience utilizing network design tools
  • Team player with clear and effective communication skills
