Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Scrum Master to join our industry-leading client in McLean.

Eliassen Group Scrum Masters serve in the role of Scrum Master for 1-2 teams depending on circumstances. Our Scrum Masters are typically brought in when there are not enough internal candidates or to serve as an example for internal candidates until they are ready to assume the role. We remove team impediments and facilitating Agile practices.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Facilitate project planning and Scrum ceremonies
  • Track and communicate team progress
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Ensure teams are practicing Agile principles
  • Identify and remove impediments to success
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution 

Requirements of the Scrum Master:

  • Experience as a full-time Scrum Master on at least five different teams for a total of at least a year
  • Initiator and Scrum Master for at least the first three iterations for at least two of the five teams
  • Thorough understanding of Scrum practices and roles
  • Experience providing classroom style training to beginners
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong conflict-resolution skills
