What will you do:

You will have responsibility for our Agile teams performance and serve as the primary interface with the government PM, product owner, and other key stakeholders. You will have a solid understanding of Agile practices that are applied on the Agile team and metrics are collected to produce velocity charts, burn down charts, and/or cumulative flow diagrams.

Other responsibilities include: Organizes, directs, and manages custom software development and production operations functions, involving multiple project tasks that use agile development methodologies. Manages Agile teams to ensure that delivery is on time and meets the specifications and requirements in user stories. Maintains and manages the client relationship. Meets with the customer to formulate and review task plans, release plans, and deliverable items. Establishes and maintains technical reports and Agile artifacts to track and report project progress to management and customers. Organizes and delegates responsibilities to team members and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Master's with 8 or more years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of project management experience and at least 1 year managing Agile projects.
  • A Bachelor's may be substituted for a Master’s with 12 or more years of experience in software development, with at least 8 years of project management experience and at least 2 years managing Agile projects.
  • Required to have experience in systems analysis, user story development, and custom software development of enterprise scale applications to enable facilitation of technical discussions and decisions within the development team.
  • The Agile Scrum Master will also work within a scaled Agile environment and support larger Epics in a Scrum of Scrums environment.
  • Agile Certifications such as PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Master required
  • Able to obtain a Public Trust Background Investigation
  • Experience with Agile software development using Scrum or Kanban
  • Technical experience in systems analysis, requirements analysis, and user story development
  • Technical experience in systems development and managing modern software development in cloud environments such as AWS using microservices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated expert ability to effectively work with senior level government staff
  • Experience managing projects and Agile teams with 10+ personnel
