Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and project planning activities
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress
  • Ensure development teams understand the value of Agile 
  • Ensure development teams practice Agile principles
  • Help improve transparency with increased communication
  • Help prioritize and resolve defects/bugs
  • Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution
  • Empower team to self-organize
Requirements of the Scrum Master:
  • Certified Scrum Master with 5 years of SM experience and 5 years of PM experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • In-depth understanding of Agile SDLC practices and rationale
  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
  • Ability to coach team to highest maturity level
  • Collaborative approach to decision making
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
