Job Description

We have a new opportunity available for a Senior Android Engineer with one of our largest telecommunications clients in the Englewood, CO area.

Our client is a is a global IT leader in its industry, who is seeking a talented Android Engineer who can positively impact their Mobile Development team.

This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity with benefits included.

Responsibilities of the Senior Android Engineer:

• Write clean and stable code, ensuring comprehensive testing
• Communicate effectively with team mates and leadership to drive mobile development processes
• Identify, evaluate, and diagnose complex issues; recommend and execute the best resolution
• Implement new requirements for Agile delivery methodology 
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality features and UX

Requirements of the Senior Android Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master's preferred
• At least 7 years of overall software development experience
• At least 5 years of Android development experience
• At least 2 years of experience developing web services (REST, JSON, XML)
• At least 2 years of experience with version control systems (Git, Atlassian Suite)
• Extensive Java and Android SDK knowledge, including solid understanding of OO design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with background and foreground Android services
• Clear understanding of networking protocols and general function
• Working knowledge of TDD & BDD practices
• At least one app in Google Play Store
• Passionate and motivated self-starter
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies 
• Clear and effective communication skills
