Job Description

Eliassen Group is hiring a Senior Software Developer for a federal government agency supporting The US Courts System (no clearance required). This agency has been prime to The US Courts for over a decade and has multiple years before needing to rebid. The work location is in Washington DC directly next to Union Station and partial remote work is available. This is a long-term, permanent role that will support multiple modernization efforts and will contribute to new builds all within MS Stack technologies. 

Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Project Scope:     

  • Modernization of a portfolio of Visual FoxPro applications into .NET-based systems and services. 
  • The legacy application is composed of web-based and automated systems. 
  • Current code base includes a variety of applications built in: MVC, WebAPI, WPF, VSTO, and a custom plugin-based system.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience with ASP.NET, MVC, and C#
  • Experience with MVC 5, LINQ to Entities (EF)
  • Agile SDLC processes 
  • Modernization/migration experience
Desired Skills (not required):
  • jQuery
  • git
  • CI/CD
  • IIS Administration
  • AWS Cloud deployment 
  • Understanding of web farm architecture
