Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain customer-facing software within capital markets and brokerage technology. The role emphasizes TDD, continuous integration and delivery, engineering practices, and collaboration in Agile squads. You will drive test automation adoption, perform data analysis at scale, and deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions while coordinating with product, architecture, and partner squads.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product owners, squad leads, and architecture to influence platform improvements.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with strong focus on TDD and CI/CD.
- Adopt and enable test automation frameworks and practices across the squad.
- Handle large datasets and perform data analysis and validation.
- Build and consume RESTful services using Java, Python, and Spring.
- Deliver solutions in Agile or Kanban environments with strong team collaboration.
- Contribute to engineering practices including code, design, and test reviews, cloud strategy, and deployment pipelines.
- Perform SQL and database validation, including comparisons across mainframe and AWS RDS.
- Coordinate with other squads and chapters to align delivery.
- Engage with business partners to understand the domain and refine requirements.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Python, with Spring and RESTful services.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, including Serenity Cucumber and Playwright.
- Experience with Jira and Jira Align.
- Agile or Kanban squad experience.
- Strong SQL, system design, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
- Ability to analyze and validate millions of data records efficiently.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud and infrastructure concepts.
- Experience working in financial services, including equities, options, or fixed income, is a plus.
- Experience with KDB and modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is a plus.
- Experience with AWS, ES6, React, or SASS is a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical, communication, and organizational skills with ability to act independently under general direction.
Education Requirements:At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
