Our client seeks a highly independent Senior Software Engineer to support shared services platforms and assume ownership of projects transitioned from a departing senior contractor. The role requires deep AWS expertise, strong TypeScript development skills, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight while supporting multiple engineering initiatives within a collaborative team environment.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $83.00 to $93.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud-based applications and services.
- Support and enhance existing serverless solutions.
- Own and drive development efforts across multiple projects.
- Participate in daily standups and collaborate within a team of approximately 10 engineers.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new AWS technologies and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance on architecture and development approaches.
Experience Requirements:
- Extensive hands-on AWS experience.
- Deep knowledge of AWS serverless technologies.
- Strong TypeScript development background.
- Experience with AWS security, networking, permissions, and infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and code quality practices.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.
- Preferred: experience supporting multiple projects, shared services or platform engineering, modern cloud-native design patterns, and mentoring.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
