Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Test to design and develop automated testing solutions and in-house utilities within a Quality Engineering organization. The role focuses on test automation across distributed systems, continuous integration, and agile delivery. The position requires collaboration with engineering squads to validate capabilities, enhance frameworks, and ensure product quality.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60.00 to $66.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for distributed applications across multiple layers of the stack.
- Develop in-house testing utilities and enhance existing automation frameworks.
- Build and execute API and UI tests using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and REST Assured.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins.
- Collaborate with agile teams to refine stories and acceptance criteria.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure regression coverage.
- Leverage Azure cloud and DevOps practices to support scalable testing.
- Apply strong coding skills in Java or similar languages for test development.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of test automation development with Java or a similar language.
- Hands-on experience testing distributed systems at multiple stack layers.
- Proficiency with REST, Web Services, SOAP, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Cucumber, Selenium, REST Assured, and CI/CD practices.
- Framework experience with JUnit, TestNG, and test runners.
- Knowledge of version control systems including Git and ClearCase.
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies and DevOps.
- Practical experience in functional and regression testing within agile teams.
- Skills with SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Ability to work independently within Scrum or Kanban teams.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
