The organization seeks a senior engineer to deliver data-driven reporting and intuitive user interfaces using Power BI and Angular. The role will design scalable dashboards, secure data models, and performant front-end applications. The engineer will collaborate with technical leaders to define reporting and UI strategies and will execute independently while adhering to quality practices. Experience with enterprise integration, accessibility, and performance optimization is required.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $50.00 to $57.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models with secure row-level access.
- Implement DAX measures and Power Query transformations for robust analytics.
- Embed Power BI content within applications and integrate with enterprise systems.
- Build Angular applications using TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with responsive and accessible UI.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Optimize SQL queries and collaborate on database design for performance.
- Use Git with effective branching strategies and participate in code reviews.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployments.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and Architects to align on technical strategy.
Experience Requirements:
- 6+ years of Power BI development building dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and implementing row-level security.
- Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise systems and embedding reports.
- 6+ years of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 development.
- Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating UI with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Understanding of relational databases such as Snowflake or Oracle and SQL optimization.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and participation in code reviews.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools for automated deployments.
- Experience in financial services, preferably Mutual Fund environment (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
