Job Description

Are you a skilled Technical Specialist with experience in service desk support? If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in DC!

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a government suitability approval process.

Responsibilities of the Service Desk Specialist:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to end users
  • Utilize SCSM ticketing system to create and document incident and service requests
  • Troubleshoot issues and advise on appropriate action; ensure prompt resolution
  • Track all incident and service request through to completion
  • Escalate issues to Tier 2 or shift lead as required

Requirements of the Service Desk Specialist:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience; technical degree preferred
  • Strong technical background, including experience on service desk teams supporting IT services
  • Experience with a ticketing system, such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Heat, etc.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues with minimal direction and oversight
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
