Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Snowflake Developer with our industry-leading client in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development, improvement and maintenance of database applications both as an individual contributor and as a team member
  • Works with Data Architects, Attribution analysts & engineers to understand the dynamics of the attribution analytics and support defining data models
  • Works with IT partners and user community for project definition; works on multiple platforms and multiple projects concurrently
  • Performs independent technical analysis, debugging and troubleshooting as well as code and unit testing for sophisticated scope modules, and projects
  • Serves as a technical resource for others and participates in rotating production support activities

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Snowflake data modeling with hands on experience implementing data ingestion.
  • Expertise in crafting Snowflake Security
  • Experience in designing, evaluating and implementing Snowflake features
  • Experience in working with AWS Services like S3, RDS.
  • Solid grasp of database engineering and design (Relational, De-normalized, Data Lakes, etc.)
  • Five to eight years of programming skills experience in database development (main focus is Oracle)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one Snowflake implementation
  • Strong Database experience in Oracle, Hadoop/Hive or DBMS (Snowflake, Netezza, NoSQL a plus)
  • Comprehensive experience with database systems and related software
  • Knowledge of DBMS optimizer and performance tuning techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret physical data models and ability to translate requirement documents into technical solutions
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline and SDLC and knowledge of Agile development
  • Good communications skills in addition to being an outstanding teammate
