Our client seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance services using Rust with a focus on reliability. The role includes implementation of actor-based and event-driven patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems tooling to deliver scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Rust with an emphasis on performance and reliability.
- Implement and work with the Actor pattern, leveraging frameworks such as Microsoft Orleans.
- Develop microservices architectures and utilize the Sidecar pattern for service management.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.
- Integrate and work with Dapr for building distributed applications.
- Collaborate with teams to design and implement scalable solutions using EventStoreDB.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Experience Requirements:
- Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Rust and/or Go.
- Proficiency in C# and experience with the Actor pattern, particularly using Microsoft Orleans.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns.
- Familiarity with Dapr and the Sidecar pattern for building distributed systems.
- Experience with EventStoreDB is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
