Our client seeks an Engineering Team Lead to guide the team building and operating an enterprise-scale identity and access management platform. This hands-on leadership role includes full-stack development, ownership of technical architecture, and primary technical authority responsibilities within a regulated financial environment. The platform includes Java and Spring Boot microservices, an Angular micro-frontend suite, AWS-native infrastructure, workflow and BPM automation, and a comprehensive testing and reporting ecosystem. The role balances approximately 50–60% hands-on engineering and architecture with 40–50% team leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team delivering an enterprise-scale identity and access management platform.
- Design and own technical architecture across Java and Spring Boot microservices, Angular micro-frontends, and AWS-native services.
- Contribute hands-on code across the stack with a focus on quality, security, and reliability.
- Plan sprints, align roadmaps, and manage stakeholder communication in a regulated financial context.
- Oversee workflow and BPM automation, testing frameworks, and reporting integrations.
- Establish engineering best practices, code reviews, and CI/CD standards.
- Guide performance, scalability, and cost optimization across cloud resources.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven leadership of software engineering teams with accountability for architecture and delivery.
- Expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices patterns.
- Professional experience building Angular applications, preferably micro-frontend architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code.
- Background with identity and access management or security-focused platforms.
- Experience in regulated financial-industry environments.
- Strong proficiency with automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
