Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Software Systems Engineer Manager with our leading defense client in Abingdon.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities of the Software Systems Engineer Manager:

  • Plan and lead the execution of software systems engineering initiatives 
  • Define software system requirements and develop technical solutions
  • Perform software systems analysis and modeling 
  • Implement software system modifications
  • Manage a team of software systems engineers

Requirements of the Software Systems Engineer Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience; or,
  • Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience
  • Technical leadership experience over a software development team (30+)
  • Experience with Java/J2EE, SOA, and REST-based web technologies
  • Experience with Cameo/Magic Draw, Jira, Confluence, and Git/BitBucket
  • Agile software development experience
