We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer - Application Support with our client in Stamford. You will support, maintain, and help build out existing on premise and cloud infrastructure and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite attendance once or twice per week.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer - Application Support:

• Provide level 2/3 support and stability for on premise and cloud infrastructure
• Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and support
• Maintain, set up, diagnose, and troubleshoot server and database programs
• Install, configure, tune, monitor, and provide break-fix support for Windows and Linux servers
• Perform application functional and performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and resolution
• Produce and maintain high quality technical documentation for systems, applications, and processes

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of directly related hands-on experience 
• Windows Server (2003-2019), SQL Server DBA (2005-2019), and Cloud Server (Tableau) expertise
• Extensive server, OS, Cloud Service, application and network troubleshooting experience
• Linux - RHEL (v6.x - x8.x)
• SharePoint (2007-2019)
• Solid understanding of Azure service offerings and ability to design hybrid solutions
• Solid experience in overseeing the design and implementation of systems, applications and related processes both on premise and in the cloud
• Knowledge of applicable IT security, confidentiality, and data privacy practices to maintain confidentiality of company sensitive data
