The organization seeks a Sr. Software Developer II to deliver secure and reliable software for mission-critical federal systems. The role focuses on building and modernizing enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and modern front-end frameworks while adhering to strict security and operational standards. The developer will troubleshoot production issues, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and communicate decisions to stakeholders to maintain customer trust. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with current or prior SCI access.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Salary: $170,000 - $220,000/ yr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate within a high-performing team to deliver technical solutions for mission-critical federal systems.
- Support O&M and design, develop, and modernize custom enterprise applications.
- Apply secure coding practices across all phases of development.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Communicate technical decisions and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain customer trust through technical expertise and professionalism.
- Use creativity and innovation to deliver solutions that meet customer and mission needs.
Experience Requirements:
- Active Top Secret clearance with current or previously held SCI access.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience building, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications in mission-critical environments.
- Expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, and ASP.NET including WebForms, MVC, and REST APIs.
- Front-end experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and Angular and/or React.
- Back-end experience with database development and administration including SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, IIS hosting, Kerberos, and OIDC authentication.
- Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
- Certification meeting DoD 8140 such as Security+.
- Azure Developer Associate certification or AWS Developer Associate certification, or recent and relevant software development certification.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
