Job Description

Are you a highly skilled System Administrator with progressive IT experience? Are you interested in working for a key government integrator? If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in Raleigh!

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to start. Additionally, candidates must have resided in the United States for the last five years, with travel time outside the United States not to exceed more than 6 months (military service excluded).

This is a contract to hire opportunity. All applicants must be willing to convert to FTE following contract duration.

Due to client requirement, candidate must be able to work onsite in Raleigh. No remote work.

Responsibilities of the System Administrator:

  • Independently install, test, and implement complex changes to technology infrastructure
  • Monitor, maintain, and provide customer support for a wide range of complex technology components
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of distributed hardware and software systems to complete work tasks
  • Provide weekly status reports of project progress; provide periodic reports to users and managers of system status
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors

Requirements of the System Administrator:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • At least 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in distributed computing preferred
  • Demonstrated skills related to computer and communications technologies
  • Ability to resolve MS modernization efforts, including Windows 10 SAC and Office 365 ProPlus 
  • Ability to develop solutions with PowerShell, VBScript, or similar tools to address issues
