Job Description

Our industry-leading client is seeking a talented System Administrator to work with them in Washington, DC.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities of the System Administrator:
  • Develop and maintain computer hardware, security, software and software development tools
  • Monitor the ability to support requirements and interface with other systems
  • Ascertain potential bottlenecks and propose recommendations for their elimination
  • Recommend system improvements that result in optimized software and hardware use
Requirements of the System Administrator:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years experience
  • At least 4 years of experience administering systems/networks
  • Acute functional competency with Microsoft Server 2008R2-2016
  • Ability to configure and administer IIS web applications
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory services, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Gateway
  • Ability to implement server STIGs and DoD policies in systems/networks, RMF
  • Ability to manage virtual environments, application load balancing
  • Familiarity with various UNIX operating systems and VMWare vCloud, ESXI, or vSphere
