Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Systems Administrator with our high profile security client in Lexington. Travel will be required for this position.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to pass a Commercial Background Investigation to start and obtain a DoD Interim Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator:

  • Provide infrastructure systems management, administration, and support
  • Ensure system availability, provide OS builds and upgrades, and system patching
  • Configure and maintain servers and workstations as well as software and hardware deployments
  • Troubleshoot server failures and related issues
  • Perform and document routine data backup
  • Manage data center/server room operations

Requirements of the Systems Administrator:

  • Associate's degree or technical school certificate; or, 3 years of experience and at least 1 certification 
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows OS, Dell and Intel/AMD hardware
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AD, LDAP, VMware, and Shell scripting
  • Experience with system auditing, hardening, and firewall configurations
