Job Description

We have an exciting new Systems Engineer position with one of our leading Industry clients based out of Rockville, MD.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer: 

  • Will provide second and third tier support for FINRA Order Audit Trail system (OATS)
  • Work will be primarily during normal hours but occasional evening, night and weekend responsibilities will be required
  • Individual will be responsible for addressing and resolving technical operational issue either directly or with coordination among FINRA resources
Requirements of the Systems Engineer:
  • Individual should have 3 to 5 years’ experience in working with complex big data systems
  • Linux system administration
  • Familiarity with network topologies
  • Familiarity with file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTPS)
  • Shell coding and Linux automation tasks
  • System monitoring tools
