Eliassen Group has an immediate job opening for a Technical Project Manager Job with one of our premier clients in Arlington, VA. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with extensive IT skills and certifications. The Technical Project Manager will support our client’s technology group.  The technology team provides creative, reliable solutions for our client’s internal and external customers. They provide global services including design, engineering, installation, dispatching, repair, outsourcing, consulting, and project management for a diverse base of network, radio, and applications services supporting information technology systems and networks in industries including finance and retail.

Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:

  • Manage customer relationships and provide technical direction and leadership
  • Manage all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects
  • Identify risks and provide solutions
  • Maintain best practices and ensure that completed systems meet requirements
  • Manage all aspects of the engineering workstream
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Effectively lead technical professionals and a cross-functional team
  • Ensure execution of quality deliverables within established schedules
  • Collaborate across teams to improve processes, results, and customer experience
  • Ensure the organization and processes remain aligned with customer policies and external directives

Requirements of the Technical Project Manager:

  • At least 12 years of project management experience
  • Experience in Agile project management
  • Able to define and implement project metrics for multiple aspects 
  • Experience using project management tools
  • Experience driving decision making with data and metrics
  • Strong financial and budget management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills and demonstrable team building skills
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
