Job Description

Our client is a leader in enabling businesses and service providers to deliver information technology as a service (ITaaS).  Our client helps IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable assets in a more agile, trusted and cost-efficient way. They are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer with hands-on Linux experience to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer:

  • Receive, troubleshoot, and drive customer issues to resolution for a range of technical problems
  • Provide accurate technical information, process instructions, and special support requirements to customers
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, practices, and procedures through all activities
  • Identify, document, and proactively revise procedures/tools to improve customer experience and satisfaction
  • Escalate issues of high complexity to senior support staff

Requirements of the Technical Support Engineer:

  • At least 3 years of experience in customer support
  • Hands-on Linux experience is a hard requirement, including command line Linux and system administration
  • Knowledge and experience with MS OS/Hyper V; MS applications; VMware; database applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent customer service and customer-centric approach
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and issue resolution abilities 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
