Job Description

We have an exciting role in the Rockville, Maryland area as a Training Specialist to join our industry-leading client.

Responsibilities of the Training Specialist:

  • Design, develop and deliver training content in multiple formats including eLearning formats e.g. SCORM
  • Analyze and interpret user requirements, technical specifications, application features and functions to translate into appropriate training formats
  • Develop training plan, conduct Instructor-led (ILT) and online training programs with technical and non-technical clients 
  • Provide client with required training after deployment of new products or existing product releases 
  • Present complex information to various audiences
  • Develop quick reference cards, manuals, and presentation decks that can be delivered in person or used as a stand-alone job aid both now and in the future
  • Develop, deliver and track training via Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Department Manager to determine direction and priorities as they relate to current and future training projects
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements of the Training Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, information technology or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience as trainer, facilitator and/or course developer within clinical trial/healthcare environment, or equivalent experience 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of eLearning authoring tools, learning management tools, SharePoint and web-conferencing tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of software development methodology i.e. Agile/SCRUM, RUP
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent consultation and collaboration skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Creative in finding solutions to routine or novel problems. Identifies areas for improvement and takes initiative to implement solutions
  • Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively; making timely decisions to meet project deadlines and business needs
