Requirements of the User Researcher:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or humanities; or, equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in an industry setting conducting quantitative and qualitative research
  • Experience conducting product research: generative, descriptive, and evaluative
  • Experience with various research methods, including when and how to apply
  • Excellent ability to provide strategic research and experience measurement
  • Ability to synthesize, publish, and communicate research findings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strengths and shortcomings of different methods
  • Motivated self-starter who seeks out and innovates new approaches
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
