Eliassen Group is assisting a reputable government integrator with finding an experienced Virtual Server Administrator to provide support on a high profile federal contract in Arlington, VA. The person will be responsible for the daily management and operation of a virtualized Microsoft environment. *Work is performed in a 24/7 environment. Some weekends and holidays may be required.*

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Virtual Server Administrator:
  • Perform daily system checks and server patch management and notify leadership of issues involving performance of the operating system
  • Perform system audit reviews and maintenance as required
Requirements of the Virtual Server Administrator: 
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, clustering, Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) 
  • Expertise in control standards, procedures, problem resolution and troubleshooting techniques for remote server management tools
  • VMware Certified Advanced Protocol (VCAP) required
