Our client seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Developer with a strong DevOps background to support the Medical Document Chase application for a government healthcare program. The role is developer-first, owning design, build, test, and enhancement of modern web capabilities using ReactJS and NodeJS while applying DevOps and production engineering practices to improve deployment reliability, observability, performance, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate has advanced ReactJS, NodeJS, and Microsoft SQL Server skills, experience with CI/CD and release management, and a track record supporting high-volume enterprise workflows involving cases, documents, and claims.

 

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance responsive MDC web application capabilities using ReactJS and modern JavaScript tooling such as Vite.
  • Develop and integrate server-side services and REST APIs using NodeJS; ExpressJS preferred.
  • Write clean, secure, testable, and well-documented code; perform peer reviews and reduce technical debt.
  • Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server queries, views, stored procedures, and data-access components.
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, developers, testers, data teams, and infrastructure partners using Jira and Confluence.
  • Create, maintain, and improve automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for reliable releases.
  • Manage source control, branching, pull requests, and releases using Git and GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Lead deployments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production with validation, rollback planning, and post-deployment verification.
  • Document and automate build, configuration, and deployment processes to improve repeatability.
  • Apply Agile, Lean, SAFe, and DevSecOps practices to strengthen secure delivery and release efficiency.
  • Monitor and support the application and services to maintain availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Analyze logs to troubleshoot and resolve production issues; provide timely incident support.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve resiliency and observability.
  • Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and support procedures with infrastructure and security teams.
  • Evaluate performance and capacity trends, identify bottlenecks, and recommend or implement scalability improvements.
  • Partner with DBAs and infrastructure on SQL Server maintenance, backups, integrity, indexing, tuning, and performance management.

Experience Requirements:
  • Eight or more years of progressive software development, including senior-level full stack web development.
  • Five or more years of DevOps, release engineering, production support, or application operations supporting enterprise applications preferred.
  • Experience with high-volume transactional, case-management, document-processing, or claims workflows.
  • Strong proficiency with ReactJS, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience developing NodeJS services and REST APIs; ExpressJS preferred.
  • Advanced SQL expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, including optimization, joins, views, stored procedures, indexing, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Git-based source control, pull-request workflows, CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
  • Experience with release management, production deployments, rollback, incident response, log analysis, root-cause analysis, and service improvement.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Working knowledge of modern SDLC, Agile delivery, DevSecOps, and secure development practices.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem including Microsoft Entra.
  • Preferred: Experience with modern React build tooling such as Vite.
  • Preferred: Experience with enterprise observability platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare, insurance, or government healthcare systems and data standards.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting claims processing or other high-volume transaction systems.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Government Public Trust clearance.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline. In lieu of degree, eight additional years of relevant experience may be substituted.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
