Our client seeks a product owner with data expertise to streamline and modernize product data pipelines supporting alternative investments sales compensation and reporting. The role requires leadership across stakeholders in sales, analytics, engineering, architecture, and governance. The successful candidate will drive data enablement capabilities, ensure reporting accuracy, and deliver outcomes in an Agile framework within the financial services domain.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Lead the product vision and strategy for data enablement for alternative investments sales to institutional and intermediary clients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in investment product sales, analytics, engineering, architecture, and governance to gather requirements, prioritize features, and develop data solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of data solutions that streamline sales processes and improve reporting accuracy, driving iterative improvements through feedback.
Experience Requirements:
- Product ownership experience delivering data modernization projects.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage C-suite leaders, architects, engineers, and data consumers.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering outcomes in an Agile framework.
- SQL proficiency for data analysis, validation, and querying.
- Data modeling capability.
- Python experience (preferred).
- Snowflake experience (preferred).
- AWS experience (preferred).
- Financial services and asset management domain experience.
- Knowledge of alternative investments (preferred).
- Investment banking background (preferred).
- Broker-dealer and RIA client knowledge (preferred).
- Intermediary business or institutional sales distribution experience (preferred).
- 5-10 years in product management, data platform modernization, or enterprise technology transformation.
- Hands-on experience translating strategic objectives and user needs into data enablement solutions and prioritizing for value.
- Stakeholder management with the ability to influence without authority and collaborate across technology and business teams.
- Ability to distinguish between questions asked and underlying business problems, with a focus on execution and impediment removal.
- Jira and Jira Align experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated curiosity, continuous learning, mentoring, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA preferred.
