Our client seeks a data professional with hands-on experience across Python or PySpark, SQL, AWS S3, Snowflake, and basic Linux or Unix shell scripting. The role will develop data pipelines, analyze datasets, and enable reporting through dashboarding tools. A proactive learner and self-starter will succeed in this environment. Prior Capital One experience is a plus.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $40.00 to $45.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations using Python or PySpark in Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks.
- Write performant SQL for data manipulation, retrieval, and analysis.
- Leverage AWS S3 for data ingestion, consumption, and storage workflows.
- Develop and optimize datasets within Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
- Use Linux or Unix shell scripting to navigate environments and automate tasks.
- Create dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
- Operate as a self-starter to investigate issues and deliver incremental improvements.
Experience Requirements:
- Python or PySpark experience with Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks.
- Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Experience with AWS S3 for data consumption.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience with cloud data warehousing.
- Comfort with basic Linux or Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with a dashboarding tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
- Demonstrated proactive learning and self-starting approach.
- Prior Capital One experience is a plus.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
