Our client is a leading U.S. financial institution operating a large network of branches and ATMs across multiple states. The organization is a Fortune 500 company with a long history formed through the merger of predecessor banks and maintains minority ownership in a major payments company.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support mainframe-based applications with preference for COBOL or Assembler experience.
- Lead and assist in system conversion projects while ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Perform detailed testing and validation of system changes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication.

- Banking domain expertise, including knowledge of core banking products such as deposits, loans, and payments.
- Hands-on experience with mainframe systems with preference for COBOL or Assembler.
- Proven experience in system conversions and migrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with technical teams and understand system architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Background as a business or technical analyst.
- Mainframe development and platform engineering experience.
- Experience with acquisition integrations and mergers and acquisitions preferred.
