This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Technical Support Manager:
  • Manage Level 1/2 support engineering team
  • Assign, take ownership, or escalate tickets as appropriate
  • Manage project tasks to ensure high quality, on time, and on budget deliverables
  • Lead meetings between implementation team, management, and vendors
  • Perform feasibility studies to ensure systems meet requirements
  • Manage SDLC process, including software migration to UAT and production systems
  • Collaborate with vendors and support team to troubleshoot system problems
Requirements of the Technical Support Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years of broad business experience, including at least 4 years in management
  • Strong operational experience and project management skills
  • Excellent understanding of modern technologies and trends
  • Understanding of applying technology to improve insurance processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and ensure stakeholder requirements are met
  • Expertise in Windows Server/Workstation systems
  • Expertise in SQL databases and Active Directory
  • Strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Linux and Unix security
  • Strong written/verbal/listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Cloud experience preferred
