Job Description

Eliassen Group is currently assisting a large government integrator in the DMV area find a Cyber Engineer to add to its team. A typical day includes computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. Expertise in one or more programming language is required. The person brought on will responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. They will develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, and understand of impact on end products and solutions. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Cyber Engineer:
  • Apply knowledge/experience reverse engineering, developing and testing cyber solutions on routers
  • Configure and implement data link, network, and transport layer protocols
  • Create and develop multi-architecture cross-compiled projects
  • Apply understanding of technical issues surrounding the designing, building and testing of cyber tools supporting router platforms
  • Apply understanding of cryptographic protocols and compression technologies and their implementation in C/C++
  • Understand computer, network exploitation techniques and methodologies to include application and mitigation techniques
  • Understand of public exploits and awareness of new/unpublished techniques
Requirements of the Cyber Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with ARM, PowerPC, and MIPS assembly
  • OS and Kernel-level development experience
  • Vulnerability research or SW reverse engineering skills
