Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled DevOps Engineer with our leading client in Portsmouth.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:

  • Build and maintain various systems utilizing Chef and AWS
  • Build, use, and maintain CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins
  • Collaborate effectively to design and develop high quality systems
  • Monitor software and systems to detect issues with New Relic and CloudWatch

Requirements of the DevOps Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with JavaEE, and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins
  • Experience with Chef, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, amd PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience with containers - Docker/Elastic Beanstalk 
  • Solid knowledge of IaC is required - Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols
  • Experience managing source control/repositories (Git/GitLab/GitHub)
  • Good knowledge of installation and administration of Linux/Unix systems
  • Strong programming abilities in at least two languages (Ruby, Groovy, Python)
