Responsibilities of the Senior Desktop Support Specialist:

  • Provide tier 2 technical support to end users related to hardware, software, applications, and network connectivity 
  • Provide overflow support for tier 1 issues and support Desktop Engineers with projects 
  • Escalate highly complex cases to tier 3 internal support and/or external support teams, as required
  • Set up equipment for new hires and transfers: configure desktops/laptops, printer access, and email
  • Help to implement software installs and upgrades, operating system updates, and security patches
  • Provision mobile computing devices and resolve connectivity issues
  • Provide support for A/V equipment for meetings

Requirements of the Senior Desktop Support Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a help desk/desktop support environment
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting patches, hardware, software, network, and printing issues
  • Experience with Active Directory, MS Office Suite, remote tools, and at least one OS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies 
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills
