We have an exciting opportunity for a DB2 Subject Matter Expert with our industry-leading client in Owings Mills.

Requirements of the DB2 Subject Matter Expert:

  • Knowledge of DB2 internals, working knowledge of DB2-DDF, DB2 Data Sharing, and DB2 security issues
  • Subsystem backup and recovery, tuning of DB2 subsystem for optimum performance, and installation and customization of DB2 and related software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Expert DB2 problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Experience as a Systems Programmer in an IBM Z/OS Mainframe environment 
  • Extensive systems implementation and administration experience
  • Solid understanding of project management and control 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Experience with SMPE, Dump analysis and problem solving
