Job Description

We're looking for a talented Technical Trainer to join our client in NYC.

Responsibilities of the Technical Trainer:
  • Deliver training to prepare students for careers in IT
  • Identify new technology training opportunities and continually evaluate and evolve training 
  • Provide students access to relevant sources for outside learning on technologies and study aids related to curriculum
  • Collaborate closely with team to identify student needs, provide support, establish individualized plans for achievement, and participate in student-status meetings
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and/or LMS with student grades, certification, scores, and progress notes
  • Create, submit, and maintain training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and any other classroom materials for approval and files
  • Maintain a minimum of 80% class pass and graduation rate for each cohort
Requirements of the Technical Trainer:
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Apple, and Linux OS: end user and server versions
  • Experience with ITIL v3 implementation and ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and User Profile management
  • Experience supporting hardware and software add, change, move, install, imaging, upgrade of desktops, printers, scanners, devices, equipment
  • Experience with IT monitoring, network and server performance monitoring, SIEMS logging and familiarity with monitoring per a Security Operations Center
  • Experience with data center and cloud computing
  • Proficiency with LAN/WAN/VLAN, routing configuration, switching, and TCP/IP and OSI layers
  • Proficiency with remote administration and remote administration tools
  • Proficiency with software deployment, patch management using SCCM/WSUS
  • Knowledge of data center security, data encryption, and basic network security
  • Proficiency with file systems, disk management, backup and recovery
  • Ability to write content and curriculum related to instructional outcomes
