We're seeking an enthusiastic, driven Network Operations Center technician to join our team. You will be joining an unbeatable team of professionals in support of our Cisco-centric infrastructure, a vital part of delivering service to our 33+ million subscribers. 

You will need to have a strong understanding of networking, hardware, and routing protocols for a multicast IP network. More than just a technician, you'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices that will have a visible impact on our customers.

This is a contract role with the potential for conversion for the right candidate. The salary for this position will be between $75,000 and $85,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities of the Network Operations Technician:
  • Manage IP network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendors to commission new IP repeater sites
  • Deploy and administer Cisco routers, including configuration and post-production management
  • Integrate new network equipment and monitoring systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and related issues
  • Monitor network performance to identify areas for improvement
Requirements of the Network Operations Technician:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or at least 4 years of experience
  • CCNET level certification or above; or, equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding of networking concepts: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, subnets, DMZ, firewalls
  • Strong communication skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with multicast IP networks preferred
  • CCNA certification preferred
