What’s in it for you:

As the Agile Release Train Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the evolution of a Lean-Agile enterprise. You understand Agile at scale, including frameworks and practices, and also the principles and culture that support it. You have experience with the unique opportunities and challenges related to organizing, facilitating and continuously aligning a large software program with the underlying business strategy.

Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Support the successful delivery of large impact and highly cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Make the progress of the program’s work visible and in relation to larger picture
  • Support Product Manager and Product Owner(s) to align business strategy and execution
  • Support Scrum Masters in resolving system-wide impediments and problems
  • Mentor and coach Scrum Masters in the program
  • Ensure alignment to the cross-departmental roadmaps, create a collective plan to manage dependencies
  • Participate in Portfolio and Program Management process improvement
  • Create a strong focus on measuring the impact of the work being delivered
  • Ensure that the Program has right level of visibility to current and upcoming
  • Escalate urgent issues appropriately and driving them to resolution in a timely manner; uncover root causes to prevent future issues
  • Drive strategic cross-functional planning, including dependency identifications and resourcing plan, by partnering closely with the program
  • Share your Agile, Lean and program management knowledge with product and engineering leadership teams

What we look for:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Release Train Engineer Role, Agile Program Management or as a Senior Scrum Master coordinating and collaborating across multiple Agile teams
  • Strong ability to communicate the value of iterative development
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of Agile including SAFe, Kanban and Scrum theory, practices, and rules, with the attitude of a student
  • Experience with driving operational process re-engineering efforts
  • Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
  • Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures in an agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master Certification (CSM) is a plus
  • Bachelor or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Scaled Agile Framework Certification (SAFe – SA or SAFe – SPC)
  • Other Certifications: LeSS, CSP, CSPO, PMP, ACP
  • A passion for quality
  • Community involvement in Agile, public speaking or blogging for example
