Job Description

Our client, a Global Educational Institution, is looking to engage a Communications Analyst (Cisco UCM and Unity Connection) to support user telephone and voicemail needs. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-first approach to end-user interaction. The Communications Analyst is required to manage work orders through a ticketing system (ServiceNow), and will coordinate delivery of services with voice and network infrastructure technicians. Role requires a resource who is local to the NYC Metro area and willing and able to work on-site ~2 days per week. This is a long-term engagement, expected to run for 12 months+.

Responsibilities of the Junior Cisco Communications Analyst:
  • Work with end-user to gather information about current telephone and voice mail programming
  • Analyze and evaluate information to provide an efficient and practical solution
  • Update LDAP with changes to employee telephone numbers
  • Utilize databases to allocate inventory required to complete work orders
  • Coordinate with other IT groups and clients to schedule tasks
  • Monitor progress of all tasks to ensure target completion dates are met
  • Use Adobe to review and mark floor plans for field technicians
  • Audit completed work orders to ensure that systems, databases, and billing records are correct
  • Work with team to set up, configure and troubleshoot components of Cisco Call Manager and Unity Connection
Requirements of the Junior Cisco Communications Analyst:
  • Hands-on experience administering and programming Cisco Unity Connection v10.5+
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Call Manager v10.5+
  • Experience importing subscribers from integrated LDAP
  • Experience with Unity mailbox administration
  • Experience using the Bulk Administration tool to import and update telephones, users, and directory numbers
  • Administration and support of Cisco IP Telephones and features, including Cisco Jabber
  • Administration of analog service on Voice Gateway
  • Creation of CTI Route Points
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
